Perhaps one of the best known local legends still extant in and around the London inner city area of King’s Cross is the persistent tradition that nearby Battle Bridge was the site of Boadicea’s last battle. Taken from Rupert Ferguson’s digital film ‘Strange Myths of King’s Cross’ this short clip examines the arguments for and against the claim for King’s Cross being the place where this ill fated Warrior Queen of the Britons met her end; whilst simultaneously putting forward an alternative archaeology based hypothesis which may well hold the key to the origi ns of this highly controversial theory to begin with.
