Physicist Tom Campbell spoke about his experiences exploring different realms of consciousness. He worked with Robert Monroe in the early 1970s, helping establish Monroe's laboratory for the study of consciousness, and develop the Hemi-Sync technology, used to attain specific altered states.
Learning to have out-of-body experiences (OBEs) was the doorway that led Campbell to further explorations into non-physical realms. The non-physical realms have greater variety and fewer constraints than the physical world we are familiar with, he explained. He has made trips to the probable future, and said that humanity still exists a thousand years from now.
Beliefs and expectations surrounding the out-of-body experience can hold people back, he said, adding that the mind's intent can be a powerful tool for moving into non-physical realms. In his book series, 'My Big TOE,' TOE is an acronym for "Theory of Everything," and he uses his knowledge gleaned from the non-physical realms to expound on life, purpose, physics and evolution.

As the United States government claims to spread democracy around the world and is deeply involved in ghost writing constitutions for other countries, the spotlight falls back on this country. Is the current US system a democracy, - has it ever been one? In The Myth of the Founding Fathers Michael Parenti takes us back to the early days of the republic. Who were the founding fathers, what were their goals in writing the US constitution? Whom did they exclude and whom did they favor? What was their attitude towards slavery? How many of them actually wanted to create a monarchy? And who - in the end - ratified the constitution after it was written?

Part I of a talk by Dr. Michael Parenti on "Lies, War, and Empire" given May 12, 2007 at Antioch University in Seattle.Â
Much of Parenti’s work draws upon history. In his History as Mystery he takes the old adage that history is written by the victors and fleshes it out with examples drawn from ancient and modern times. In regard to early Christianity, for instance, he maintains that, contrary to popular notions, the “Jesus worshipers†did not gather most of their followers from the poor and downtrodden but from the more affluent strata. Some Christian leaders discouraged slaves from converting to Christianity. Slaves were prohibited from becoming church deacons or priests, he maintains. Contrary to conventional US notions, he argues that the Christians were not the keepers of learning and scholarship during the Dark Ages but played a relentless role in destroying all the advanced learning and all the libraries of antiquity that were in their reach.
He does address some of the intrinsic problems when people like us come maybe from a place that seems like left field with new ideas and the mainstream labels and forms the conformity of bias. Conspiracy and lies rule the day apparently and the views outside  the conformity are harder tested in the court of public opinion. This is a heavy topic  but a great academic dissertation on truth and reality.
